By pure coincidence I finished my second guitar the "Autumn" guitar on Dec. 20th..the last day of autumn.
My thanks to all of you for all the extremely helpful information and guidance and special thanks to Steve at Colonial Tonewoods for the beautiful wood and great advice.

Beautiful guitar Bill! How does the port sound?

Hi Tim...it sounds really good to me. I think it adds something out front as well. I had a friend play it and he said that he could not discern the sound from the port but was thrilled with the sound of the guitar.
The next guitar will also have a port but a smaller one and further up on the upper bout.

I just love those leaves. They look like they're falling from a tree, right into the flow of music.

Very, very nice. I especially like the graphic placement of the leaf overlapping the fretboard. And having the fretboard extend slightly over the edge of the sound hole is another nice touch of drama.

Lance, before the next guitar, which I'm sure will again make me weep, ban him from the forum.

Man that is gorgeous! Way to go! I hope my 100th turns out that good. I would hate to be the guitar repair man who replaces the finger board 50 years from now can you imagine having to recreate your beautiful inlays?

Bill, you've got a great sense of aesthetics, and talent to match! A good aesthetic sense isn't something easily developed either. Beautiful and impressive work!

Holy cow, that's nice!
Now, for that Winter guitar; can't wait to see you inlay some snowflakes into your spruce top.

I finished the Rosette for the Winter guitar last night and was going to put it into the top today. It has snowflakes all around and took me at least 4-5 hours to make... however...I have decided not to use it. Now that it's done it just looks "too much". Oh well...it isn't the first time something looked better on paper...

Bill, that is one fine design! How thick are your inlay veneers? Do you use the same thickness throughout, or are they beefier in the fingerboard than in the soundboard?
